Teacher and students
When we connect with ourselves regularly and know how to shift our perspective in relation to events as they happen, we enter a new level of mutual connectedness with others around us. We see that we are learning from life with one another all the time, and this includes the classes we are in together. Those who teach in the context of this program model this insight. They are not there simply to pass on information or give instruction, but to share their own practice and participate in a process with their students. In this program both teachers and students are students.Becoming a teacher
It is said that you can’t take someone where you have not yet been yourself. However to teach interactively in the spirit of learning from life, you need to be willing to explore the very things you are teaching, during the process of actually teaching them. In this way, becoming a teacher of this work is the same process as practicing it in your own life. Those who are engaged with the practices are those who are able to pass it on to others, and the deeper their practice, the more they are able to pass on.Opportunities for teaching
The first opportunity for teaching in this way occurs as soon as you have completed a course in the program. You now know something you can pass on to others, and if you do this in the context of mutual exploration and learning, you will gain as much from the process as the person you are working with. This understanding of mutuality of our connections underlies the preparation of the process facilitators on More To Life Weekend teams. When combined with presentation skills, it qualifies those who become mentors and teachers of classes in the program, and also what guides those on the path of becoming a More To Life trainer.
