Privacy Policy
  1. The Kairos Foundation is a non-profit organisation based in Knoxville Tennessee which sponsors personal development training programs in the USA and abroad.
  2. It is our policy is to uphold and safeguard the privacy of all correspondence and no commercial exploitation of any documents, records or files by third parties is allowed for any reason.
  3. This policy is applicable in all parts of the world where our programs are offered, including the USA, the UK, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.
  4. Information about our work is regularly provided to enquirers, to sponsors of the Kairos Foundation and to past students, by means of a public-access website, an opt-in e-mail communication list, and a quarterly newsletter.
  5. All files, records, or mailing lists which list students or sponsors are centrally contolled and supervised by our Administrative Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
  6. The Kairos Foundation upholds and adheres to the Safe Harbor agreement on data protection developed by the US Department of Commerce in partnership with the European Commission. For details, see our Safe Harbor Certificate.
Information Collection and Distribution Policy
  1. The Kairos Foundation undertakes not to share or sell any information that may become available through its public website to any third party.
  2. Our web server will not log or report any personal information regarding its users, including e-mail address or any other personal information, unless submitted by the visitor concerned through forms provided for this purpose.
  3. E-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, or by posting to our opt in/out communication list, or by filling out forms on our site are explicitly included in our Privacy Policy, as is any data that may be collected about page usage and any information that is volunteered by donors, students or inquirers.
  4. No information collected for the purpose of improving the content of our web site or used to notify donors and students about updates to our website is shared with any other organization for any reason.
User Requests for Information
  1. We will collect information as provided by users on forms that explicitly request information to be sent via email. We will not require provision of any further personal information beyond that which is necessary to provide the information or service that is requested, or provide a means of verifaction.
  2. Information used by our organization to provide the requested information and services may also be used to provide information via post or email about news, events, workshops or courses, and other items of interest related to our organization’s services and activities. This information will also not sold or disclosed to third parties for any reason.
Ordering on-line
  1. We will restruct information requested from visitors to secure order forms in our bookstore and other points in our website in order to make orders, pay workshop registration fees or make donations to the organization.
  2. Where users provide contact information (ie: name/shipping address) or financial information (ie: credit card number/expiration date) this information will be used for billing purposes and to fill the orders concerned unless questions or difficulties arise in processing an order, in which case contact information may be used to get in touch with the user.
  3. Contact information may also be used to notify those individuals who have purchased materials of new products and services that may be of interest to them, and to send complementary copies of our quarterly newsletter.
  4. This information may also be used to provide information via post or email from time to time about news, events, forthcoming courses, or other items of interest related to our organization's services and activities. This information will not be sold or disclosed to third parties in any way.
Cookies
We do not use cookies.

Log Files
  1. Our web server records IP addresses. While these are not linked to personally identifiable information, they could potentially be used to identify the machine or service provider used to access the site.
  2. Our policy is that this information should not be used in any way other than for the purpose of administering the site, tracking usage, analyzing trends, gathering information for aggregate use or to investigate possible instances of abuse or misuse of the site.
Information sharing
The Kairos Foundation does not share information with advertisers or any other third parties, nor do we sell or display third-party advertising on our web site.

Security
  1. The Kairos Foundation does not retain or store credit card numbers on our servers.
  2. We use a secure server for transmission of data such as credit card numbers in connection with orders placed on line.
  3. We have security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against loss, misuse or alteration of information collected in connection with orders.
Opting-Out
  1. Anyone who has supplied their name, address, telephone number, or email address at any time and wishes to have it removed from our records may write, call, fax or email operations@kairosfoundation.org giving their name and the information to be deleted (ie: postal mailing address, phone number, email address) and the Kairos Foundation undertakes to promptly comply.
  2. Any individual who has subscribed to our opt-in newsletters or communication lists may terminate their subscriptions at any time by using the ‘unsubscribe’ procedures explained at end of all mailings.
