Bill Thatcher
Managing Director, More To Life

I am delighted to announce that the More To Life International Board has offered the position of Managing Director to Bill Thatcher, and very pleased to confirm that Bill has accepted the offer. While there are still matters to be decided at this weekend’s International Board meeting, I can happily say – “Let the Celebrating Begin!”

As you may know, Bill has been working with us since February 2016 as the Project Facilitator for the Design & Align Initiative (D&A), and then following the Atlanta D&A Conference in July, as the Interim Managing Director. During this year he has spent hundreds of hours on Zoom calls working closely with the Teams to create the “new world” that More To Life is entering. Many MTL students and leaders have had an opportunity to work with Bill and experience his calm yet passionate presence. Bill is poised to lead us into the new year, and I for one am excited!

The D&A International Transition Team, led by Carol Allan from New Zealand, was tasked with doing a search for a Managing Director. I offer special acknowledgement to Alyson Morley from Scotland who led the hiring task force by creating a position description, posting it on the MTL website and on, a website that specializes in non-profit executive positions, leading the task force in sorting through the applications, notifying and interviewing several highly qualified candidates. A very conscious and thoughtful process indeed… Well done, Alyson!

I urge all of us to reach out to Bill with congratulations, support, encouragement, ideas, and your ‘laboring oar’.  We have big work to do in the world! (

With love, honor and respect,
